The line unwinds, grinding and rewinds stainless steel coil in a single continuous cycle, finishing at No.4 satin finish. Grinding heads remove mill scale and roll marks first, then refine the surface towards No.4 satin. No.4 is the directional satin finish specified for elevator cabs, kitchen equipment and architectural cladding.
The machine itself weighs 6.5 ton/ group. The working envelope also covers material of the transmit roller at Cover with the Bubber, so the surface stays within tolerance across the batch.
Machine Overview
This grinding machine is configured for No.4 satin finish on stainless steel coil. Abrasive belt stations are sequenced coarse to fine, so No.4 satin is reached by controlled stock removal rather than polishing alone.
Line speed is set at ≈20 m/min, depending on the finish required.
As specified here — processing speed ≈20 m/min, the motor of the transmit system 15KW, total power unit 12-16KW, core Processing Function Coil-to-coil continuous grinding, ss sheet polishing, 8k surface grinding, no.4 buffing, hairline finishing, oxide layer removal.
Machine Features
- Emergency stop and overload protection are wired into every station, not just the main drive.
- Drive is by inverter-controlled motors, letting speed follow the grade being run.
- The electrical cabinet is sealed and dust-rated for shop environments.
- Oil-type grinding carries the swarf away and keeps the abrasive cool, giving a cleaner surface on long runs.
Applications
- service centres processing coil to order
- shopfitting and display units
- appliance panels and housings
- elevator car panels and lift doors
Packing & Delivery
Export packing for sea freight, 30 days lead time from deposit, and installation supervision with operator training on request.
FAQ
Can it be reconfigured for a different finish later?
Yes. Changing the abrasive sequence, and the belt or compound grade, moves the machine between finishes on stainless steel coil. The frame and drive train stay as they are; only the consumables and the stored recipe change.
What sets the throughput of this machine?
Throughput follows the number of working stations, the width being processed and how far the surface has to be taken — reaching No.4 satin takes more passes than a coarse grind. The specification table above gives the working speed for this machine.
