Sheet-by-sheet grinding of stainless steel sheet, set up to keep No.4 satin finish consistent from panel to panel. Grinding heads remove mill scale and roll marks first, then refine the surface towards No.4 satin. No.4 satin gives a uniform directional grain that hides handling marks better than a bright finish.
Working width runs to 300mm. The working envelope also covers speed of the line at 6-25M/min, so the surface stays within tolerance across the batch.
Machine Overview
This grinding machine is configured for No.4 satin finish on stainless steel sheet. The grinding section sets the base surface; what follows only refines it to No.4 satin.
It handles work up to 2620mm long.
In the configuration supplied: abrasive belt length 2620mm; sheet size 1250X2500mm 1550X3000mm customized available; machine weight Appro 13T; roller dimensions 300mm.
Machine Features
- Change parts are labelled and stored on the machine, which keeps setup consistent between shifts.
- Spindle bearings are selected for continuous duty rather than intermittent use.
- Dust and fume are taken off at the station, not at the room, so the working area stays clear.
- The control system stores recipes per grade and thickness, which shortens changeover between jobs.

FAQ
What is involved in installation?
The machine ships as a complete unit. Foundations, power supply and extraction are the buyer's scope; commissioning and operator training for No.4 satin work are carried out on site after installation.
Is the machine suitable for thin gauge stainless steel sheet?
Within the thickness range listed above, yes. Thin material is supported across its full width through the grinding station, which is what stops it from lifting or marking on the way through.
